Welcome! Thank for supporting another successful season of the Passion Play in Valencia County, NM. This year we performed at Joy Junction in Albuquerque, at San Clemente Church in Los Lunas, and at Belen High School. All performances were free to attend, with donations accepted. About Us
The Companions of Jesus of New Mexico is a non-profit theatrical group composed of volunteer members in Valencia County. Each spring we present a dramatic work titled ‘Death of the Messiah’. It tells the story of the days surrounding the death and resurrection of Christ. Our performances are free and open to the public.
Each cast member is clothed in period costume as well as elaborate make-up. A professionally recorded soundtrack helps to create an authentic and moving experience for the audience.
